A few years ago, when I was a busy college student, I developed some pretty seriously bad habits. I stayed up late and/or pulled all nighters (sometimes when they were completely avoidable). I drank a LOT of coffee. During my senior year, I developed some skin issues, plodded through periods of major anxiety, and struggled due to poor health choices. Needless to say, I graduated and made it to the other side of things, but it could have been easier.
A few years down the road, my skin issues continued to increase in severity. I had patches of dark, scaly skin on my sides and on my scalp. I lost a lot of hair, had very splotchy skin, and struggled with moods and my weight. I also battled seasons of anxiety and knew I needed to make some changes.
I began to do some research and realized that most of my issues had the common denominator of a hormone imbalance. I began to do further research and was alarmed to discover how many foods, shampoos, lotions, cleaners, and even what we store food IN had some form of hormone interrupters in them!
